Immunity Boosting Smoothie

There’s nothing more comforting than the warming spice of ginger added to our food and drink. Said to increase our body temperate and help with digestion, adding ginger to your morning smoothies is a great way to get your daily dose of antioxidants in one hit.

Blend the below ingredients to try Lou West’s ultimate immunity boosting smoothie and kickstart your digestion.

Ingredients:

  • One large frozen banana
  • One generous handful of spinach
  • 2cm piece of ginger
  • Squeeze of one lemon or lime
  • Vegan protein powder of your choice
  • One heaped teaspoon of medicinal mushrooms (my favourites are Masons Mushrooms from the Australian brand, Superfeast)
  • Top up with one cup of coconut water, plant mylk of your choice or filtered water.
